Terms & Conditions – The Rosebay Getaway

These Terms & Conditions govern all reservations made directly through The Rosebay Getaway, operated by Diamond Rentals. By submitting a booking or payment, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Booking & Payment

All reservations are subject to availability and confirmation.

A valid credit card is required to secure a booking.

Payments are processed securely through Stripe.

A security/damage deposit or pre-authorization may be required prior to check-in.

2. Minimum Stay

A minimum stay requirement applies and varies by season.

Promotional discounts may require a minimum of three (3) nights, unless otherwise stated.

3. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation terms will be provided at the time of booking and outlined in your confirmation email.

Refunds, if applicable, are issued according to the cancellation policy associated with your reservation.

No refunds are provided for early departures, unused nights, or weather-related disruptions beyond our control.

4. Check-In & Check-Out

Check-in: After 4:00 PM (unless otherwise arranged)

Check-out: By 11:00 AM

Late check-outs or early check-ins may be accommodated when possible but are not guaranteed and may result in additional fees.

5. House Rules & Guest Responsibilities

Guests agree to:

Treat the property with care and respect

Follow all posted house rules and local bylaws

Not exceed the maximum occupancy stated at booking

Refrain from hosting parties, events, or gatherings without written approval

Maintain reasonable noise levels at all times

Failure to comply may result in termination of the stay without refund.

6. Damages & Additional Charges

Guests are responsible for any damage, missing items, or excessive cleaning required during their stay.

Any damages may be charged to the credit card on file.

7. Cleaning

A standard cleaning fee may apply and will be disclosed at booking.

The property should be left in a reasonable condition at check-out.

Excessive mess or misuse may result in additional cleaning charges.

8. No Smoking / No Vaping

Smoking or vaping is not permitted inside the home.

Evidence of smoking indoors may result in additional cleaning or remediation fees.

9. Pets

Pets are not permitted unless explicitly approved in writing prior to arrival.

Unauthorized pets may result in additional fees or cancellation of the reservation without refund.

10. Liability & Assumption of Risk

Guests acknowledge that:

They are responsible for their own safety and the safety of their guests during their stay.

The Rosebay Getaway and Diamond Rentals are not liable for accidents, injuries, loss, or theft occurring on the property.

Use of the property and its amenities is at the guest’s own risk.

11. Utilities & Service Interruptions

We are not responsible for temporary interruptions to utilities or services such as power, internet, water, or heating due to circumstances beyond our control (including weather, maintenance, or utility provider outages). No refunds will be issued for such interruptions.

12. Right to Refuse or Terminate Stay

We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel a booking, or terminate a stay without refund if these Terms & Conditions or house rules are violated.

13. Privacy

Personal information collected during the booking process is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and is used solely for booking management, communication, and legal compliance.

14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia, Canada.
